Happy New Year!
The Chico Bavarian Band and The Internationals™ would like to wish you and yours all the best during this holiday season. Thank you for all of your support and enthusiasm during 2003. It was a year packed with fun for the CBB, and one that kept The Internationals™ busier than ever.
Playing music is just about the most fun we have (well, in mixed company anyway!), and we realize that it is your willingness to take the time to come see us that make all of our good times possible. We certainly appreciate it.
May 2004 bring you prosperity, happiness, good will and an abundance of Spaten (or your personal favorite adult beverage)!
So, whether you prefer;
Glückliches Neues Jahr,
Nuovo Anno Felice,
Felice Navidad,
Ano Novo Feliz,
Mele Kalikimake,
or just good old fashioned Happy New Year!!, may 2004 be your best one ever.
Prost!

SJ Saxmas - Adolphe Sax would be proud...
In the interest of promoting music events of all genres, we would be remiss if we did not tell you about SJ Saxmas (www.sjsaxmas.com). OK, so some might say that we are remiss if we do inform you of the event, but hey... who are we to judge?!?
It's true that this event is the brain child of a Chico State University grad, and our band has pretty close ties to Chico State. But I mean really, how can you go wrong with over 150 saxophones playing Christmas music in December? (And yes, that's a rhetorical question...)
But it promises to be a hoot! I have it on good authority that there will be types of saxophones there that you may well have never seen before -- some of which haven't been made in many decades. (Ever seen a Sarusaphone? Or a C-Melody Sax? You will if you show up on Saturday!)
Check out the web site for full details. In short, performances are this Saturday -- December 20th -- at 2:00 pm in downtown San Jose (near the Tech Museum), and again at 5:00 pm at the Eastridge Mall.
I'll be there. In fact, I'll be one of those producing the whimsical sound of Christmas as it can only be rendered by 150+ saxophones of every size, shape, age and configuration.
But come listen anyway... ;-)
Prost!

Take The A Train?
Better yet, take the #66 train. CalTrain, that is.
If you are a regular southbound commuter on CalTrain, you might want to make sure you are on the same train that leaves Redwood City at 4:50 pm on Thursday, December 4th.
Starting at the Redwood City stop, and remaining on the train all the way to Gilroy (the end of the line), will be a few elves (ok, really BIG elves), and they'll be spreading a little holiday spirit by performing live on the train.
If you search the train carefully, and listen closely, you just might be able to find them. (Hint: check out the last car in the train.)
Prost!
