What's new?...
Funny you should ask. It's been a while since I posted anything here, so I thought it might be appropriate to mention what changes have been made recently on the two band sites.

On The Internationals™ web site, the schedule has been updated to reflect a few changes. (See if you can guess what they are!) There's also some new code built into the schedule page that automatically let's you know the last time the schedule was updated (I would sometimes forget to update the date on the page, but now the server does it for me... am I lazy or what?!?). Just look for the "Last Updated" message inside the dark blue bar under The Internationals™ logo.

And on BavarianBand.org, the home page has been given a minor face lift that includes a new search engine. Look just below the 2nd red line and you'll find a familiar sight: a Google search bar! This version of the Google bar is special: you can search just BavarianBand.org, just TheInternationals.com, or the entire web -- without ever having to leave the comfort of our home page!

Oh, one other significant achievement: You'll find a counter near the top of the BavarianBand home page (with the pale yellow background) that shows the number of days left until the San Francisco Oktoberfest -- the biggest and best Oktoberfest in Northern California! This is a very valuable tool; it's good to know how many shopping days you have left so you can purchase that new dirndl or a spiffy set of bundhosen in time for the 'fest! (And yes, for those of you who know something about putting web sites together, I've discovered Javascript. Hey, a guy's gotta have some fun somehow -- and for us geeks, this is fun!)
